I am blessed to have a wonderful family I love greatly and they keep me balanced. My love for my country and it's history is my passion and I greatly appreciate the beauty of nature that god has given everyone to protect.

August
Well I look back and I see that I have not blogged since the beginning of June and lots of things have happened since then. Well nothing really happened in June itself except continuing the job search. At the beginning of July the whole family including the Portland crew rode in a three car caravan from Colorado to Wichita / Eureka Kansas where buried my grandmother who passed away in May and had brief visit with the other Kansas family. there is nothing like traveling with your whole family including a five year old niece, four year old nephew and two year old niece who kept the whole family hopping. They were the best little travelers despite the lack of sleep they got. Often I do not enjoy spending hour after hour riding in a car and not getting a chance to drive but catching up and playing with my nephew and nieces made the time fly by. Being educated about Pokemon by Pete and learning about the latest Barbie movie by Allie and Nora kept the hours occupied and busy. And after the first day all the weather did was rain and rain even when we visited Exploration Place the kids loved and enjoyed exploring and me who use to work there back when it opened was surprised with the many changes some I would never thought to do . Family party at
Krista's on the 4th of July where we got spend time with family that some I have not talked to since Christmas 2003. On the fifth we all piled back into the cars and headed back to Colorado where it had not rained and the sun was clearly shining. Upon returning to Colorado Springs I had two interviews and had accepted a job before the middle of the month. I have been working at a call center talking a bank customers about the new federal regulation effecting them. As of yesterday that project is over and a new one will start sometime next week but do not know when exactly so I may have a one or two days off before but hopefully not too long. Not too stressful of a job and not to challenging but a job non the less being paid is better than not being paid. Well I better go help make peach butter.
Pictures will be included at a later time.

The Impossible Dream
To dream the impossible dream,
To fight the unbeatable foe,
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go;
To right the unrightable wrong.
To love, pure and chaste, from afar,
To try, when your arms are too weary,
To reach the unreachable star!
This is my Quest to follow that star,
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far,
To fight for the right
Without question or pause,
To be willing to march into hell
For a heavenly cause!
And I know, if I'll only be true
To this glorious Quest,
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this,
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach the unreachable stars!
To fight the unbeatable foe,
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go;
To right the unrightable wrong.
To love, pure and chaste, from afar,
To try, when your arms are too weary,

Okay this is too long to be unemployed
I hate being unemployed and I just want to work . So I can stop applying for jobs I do it so much that I am even applying in my dreams. My goal is learn something new every week it can be historical, environmental it just has to be more than just random facts. This week it is about Historical Sites Act of 1935 and National Environmental Act of 1969 I thought they would go together well and help if I ever get another park job. Trying to keep my sanity.

I just want a job please
Well it's been awhile since I last blogged and I am sorry. I felt like there was nothing to say since I am unemployed thanks to that no good last employer of mine. I have spent the past three and half months searching and applying for hundreds of jobs and only getting small bites but no offers currently. Searching so far and so wide that currently my frustration level is so high that there are days I hit the ceiling and feeling the depression setting in is not helpful in the job search but I am still fighting and applying so there must be hope in me somewhere. So this blog is dedicated to all the other unemployed frustrated people in America. To all the employers keep hiring so that maybe I and others like me can get a job pay the bills and enjoy life again.

So life is hard no big deal compared to last year.
So sorry I have not written since christmas. Been busy searching for a new job since early January and stressing about health insurance on a limited budget already filled with other stress. Still looking for a job focusing alot on Park jobs but still trying to get just about any job I can do. But for now on in March I will be covered again by a health insurance. Blessings come from my family thank you for the support and prayers. Also with time I had time to finally get Lizzy settled and using her cat box affectively. Hey Di, Dan and Brooks thanks for all the calls and emails that is one of the many things that keep me positive and hopeful.
I better get back to applying. Talk to you all later.

Christmas
Thanks to Allie, Di, Adam and of course Henry I had a good christmas. Lots of Christmas Eve action which included decorating santa cookies very messy but lots of fun I am surprised that either one of us actually slept with all the sugar in our systems. We played guitar and sang which neither of us could tune the toy instrument. Read all the christmas books under the tree. There was lots of laughter and tickling untill Allie's bed time. On Christmas morning pretty early at least for me once Allie knew I was awake she came in the room and showed off all her christmas stocking goodies incluing a sword, candy etc. Before breakfast she shared a pez candy really yum yum if you like pez pure sugar for those sugar lovers. Allie got lots of goodies from Santa, Mom and Dad and Aunt Jenny. She really liked her pink princess horse or was it a unicorn and the Barbie fairy tale video we watched boy can Barbie sing I never knew that. Thanks Santa for the books I have not time to read them yet but I looking forward to reading them soon.
