Why

Sleep I very much need will not come too much pain and too much on my mind. I ask myself why did this happen and why now. Questions that I can not answer and God knows I hope. I have been diagnosed with herniated discs in my lower back region which what is causing the nerve pain. I already been out of work almost two weeks how much longer will the healing take. I question in my mind will surgery be option and will it work? To be free of pain would be great but this may be message to me that alot things in my life will need to change probably including my job direction to less physically demanding one, mabey It is the push I need to go back to pursing a career in history. Questions continue to swirl around in my head but think my medication has kicked back into gear so I can sleep again. Talk to again soon.

Reasons not to visit an ER again

1. too expensive copay even when you have insurance
2. even more expensive without insurance
3. can take along time to receive treatment
4. waiting room too cold in winter
5. Pain level at 8-10 and should have been checked in but not
6. parking lot too far away from door

Patches

Patches my cat is a friend she is always there when you truly need her. When I sick or upset she will always be near ready for pet of comfort and will often look at you and say I understand with her eyes and soft meow. She has helped me keep relaxed when muscles in my left leg and back wanted to scream out in agony. Patches has been a constant companion keeping me from getting too lonely.

Ten ways to keep you more or less bored when on bed rest

Well I have really done it this time. Doctor required me to bed rest for a week and no work. So what do you do when you pretty much have to stay laying down either in bed or on the floor.

1. Read until your eyes are too tired to read anymore
2. Watch movies, DVDs and television until your tired of that source of entertainment
3. Listen to your mp3 player and play with other features to keep occupied
4. Work on your computer laptop until the battery dies on you then wait
5. Try to get family to stop working or doing whatever they are doing to have talking time
6. Call friends or family long distance to talk with them also
7. Sleep way too much
8. Pet your cat and any other family pet that comes close enough to touch
9. Try to get up at least three times a day to take care of hygiene and other personal cares
10. Take your pain meds on time to keep most of the pain away and try not to scream when it hurts.

Repeat as often as needed to keep from going crazy.

Poem of the day

Nothing Gold Can Stay
by Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Happy New Year brings so much pain

Happy New Year. This is the posting of 2009, I was unable to post until this moment since the past two weeks I have been working since with school was out on holiday which meant I worked. Then when all was back to normal the pain in my left leg and tenderness in back started up again. Trying to get a normal doctors appt in this town is crazy just to get appt with my primary physician
I would have to wait until after the 20th I called on the 7th and 8th. As of this moment I am looking for a new physician. Pain is still there and I am not willing to pay 75 dollars for a Urgent Care co pay so the search and pain goes on. Well I am sorry for to go on about my problems which could be a lot worse and more stressful. So I am going to look positive at this experience atn least at the end of it I will have a new doctor. Well that it for now.

Overnights at work

Well for the first time in almost a year I am doing an overnight weekend. Thats right it means staying up and working all night for two nights in a row. While the kids may or may not sleep I can not and most find projects when kids are sleep to keep me awake.
